YTD Raised: $4,261.00The New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is an all-volunteer nonprofit based in southeastern MA. We combine educational outreach with research and conservation activities to protect and rescue marine wildlife in the waters off New England. Internships provide opportunities for students to gain the experience needed to advance in the field. Data collected from our research projects is used to advance our understanding of marine wildlife in our waters. These results are shared with researchers in the US and worldwide to support conservation and management efforts. NECWA also oversees a sighting network and rescue program for ocean sunfish that strand each fall and early winter along the shores of Cape Cod.
