(UK, 1157845) AIMS (Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services) has been campaigning since 1960 for improvements in the way in which women are cared for when having a baby. AIMS provides information and support to women, and those working with childbearing women via our helpline, website and publications.AIMS is a lay organisation, run by women who are not health or social services professionals. AIMS membership is open to anyone. All the committee are voluntary workers and there are no paid staff. We rely solely on income from membership subscription, publications sales and donations. To achieve our vision, we aim to promote the awareness of pancreatic cancer in Scotland; advance the education of healthcare professionals around diagnosing pancreatic cancer and the treatments available to patients; improve the standard of healthcare for individuals suffering from the disease; and to advance research projects in Scotland so that effective treatments can be developed.
