Banchory Sports Village Trust was established as a charitable trust with the aim of delivering a 6 lane 25 metre swimming pool, together with other sporting facilities, for the benefit of the Banchory community. Aberdeenshire Council have now agreed to the building of a sports facility within Banchory but to guarantee the inclusion within the project of a 6 lane 25 metre pool, a learner pool, and a four court sports hall, the Community requires to raise £700,000 by way of a financial contribution towards the project cost. The Sports Village will be available to everybody living within and visiting the wider community in and around Banchory - young and old, clubs and societies - and with a view to securing a first class sports facility that the Comunity can enjoy for years to come, assistance with fundraising is being encouraged from across the Community. All within the Community can help to make this happen.
