(UK, 1135949) Blackburn Youth Zone is a state of the art youth club based in the heart of Blackburn town centre. Dedicated to young people aged 8-18, the Zone provides young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk too for just 50p. Since opening in 2012, the Zone now has 3,000 members offering them a safe and exciting environment in which to spend their spare time. Young people, the future of Blackburn with Darwen, are at the heart of the Zone – everything from the actual building to the projects, programmes and activities on offer, right through to the Zone’s staff, have been chosen in partnership with our young people – importantly listening to their opinions and giving them a voice in issues that affect them. As a registered charity, we rely upon funding from outside sources and works in partnership with the Council, local businesses and other bodies to ensure that we remain at the heart of the town and continue to meet and recognise the needs of the young people of Blackburn with Darwen. We need your help to invest in young people, to invest in Blackburn’s future.
