We are Move The World; a UK based NGO focussed on community development and Global Citizenship education in Ghana. We support the development of leadership skills and capabilities in young people, to enable projects and programmes that tackle community issues through our flagship programme, Get Global. Working through local partners, community leaders and schools, we deliver training and education programmes that have tangible impact on children, young people and communities. Get Global is a grassroots-led, school-based, global citizenship education programme designed and delivered by ‘change-makers’ in communities in Ghana. We use the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals alongside our Global Citizenship Framework to facilitate children and young people about local and global issues, helping them to develop real and practical skills that contribute to change. Get Global is a 7-month tailored curriculum that works with students aged 10-12, youth leaders, schools, teachers and communities to develop the values, skills and knowledge needed to become engaged ‘global citizens’ who take action in their community. Get Global provides children and young people with a structured and coherent ‘entry point’ into civic and social action, within a safe and supportive environment.
