Boomerang (UK, 1140790) Browse events

YTD Raised: £120.00

Boomerang is a charity based in the North West region. The charity was set up by a Bury mum Emma Birkett, as she grew continually frustrated by the lack of services available for disabled children in the North West for her daughter. In May 2011 Emma is hoping to open a multi-sensory play learning centre for children with disabilities. This facility will have a large play area with slides, trampolines, ball pools, and a sensory room, stimulating projector lighting, tactile equipment and relaxation areas.   Since 2007 Emma and her committee have been fundraising and have raised over £200,000. The premises have been found, and the lease will be signed very soon. Emma is hoping to have the site up and running by May 2011. Once the centre is open it will offer thousands of children in the North West what every able bodied person has the chance to access............A fun, safe, adapted play centre that meets their needs.
