Nina's Haven is a small charity that rescues abandoned and often mistreated cats and dogs from Croatia. We have a wonderful vet and her team who treat the animals and rehabilitate them. When the animals are well enough we try to rehome them either in Europe or here in the UK. We run neutering programmes to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens in the town of Vukovar and we run education programmes to try to encourage the local children in responsible pet ownership. We certainly can't change the world, but for each animal we do manage to save, it makes a world of difference for them.
