We are a happy and faithful congregation, meeting regularly in our lovely church, raised in 1819 on the same site where a church was first established in the 12th Century. The name Kintore is thought to come from the Gaelic, Ceann-an-torr, where "Ceann" means the head, and "Torr" a round hill, which many locals believe it to refer to Tuach Hill, the place of a battle in the 9th century in which the locals helped King Kenneth II to victory over invading Danes.

Christians Aware is an educational, ecumenical and international charity and a member body of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and Churches Together in England, Scotland and Wales. The charity has a network of people in Britain and around the world. The main links include Africa, India, Mauritius, the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Japan, the Philippines, the Caribbean, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The international visits are mainly to our link communities, following invitations from them. Our visits and exchanges are pilgrimages which challenge those who take part to be open and flexible, to be happy to listen and learn. They offer new experiences, new friendships, new insights and new vocations. We always keep the words of Ronald Wynne in mind. He said, ‘Do not try to teach anyone anything until you have first learnt something from them.’ Other opportunities include pilgrimages, listening days, conferences and courses, the magazine, the books. The hope of all our work is that, through encounter, listening, learning and reflection, understanding and trust may grow between people, including Christians and those of other faiths, who may then work together to overcome injustice.

YTD Raised: £0.00The C13th Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul is an integral part of the heritage of the village of Yalding in Kent and a focus of the community. The Yalding Church Preservation Society (YCPS) was set up in 1999 to raise the funds necessary to keep the Church in a condition fitting its position as part of Yalding’s heritage and to ensure this valuable legacy is preserved for future generations. YCPS has already given over £68,000 towards restoration of the Church tower and essential repairs to internal and external masonry. More recently YCPS has made a significant contribution to the recent restoration of the nave ceiling and repairs to the lych gate. YCPS is a registered charity, number 1075662.
