In 2012, St Thomas' Church celebrates serving the people of Milnthorpe, Cumbria, for the last 175 years. The main aim of the charity is to support the church in this work for many years to come. The church is already a focal point in the village and provides a venue for many community activities including ballet and dance classes, Cafe Church, concerts and an annual art exhibition at the end of July. Funds raised through the charity will help to maintain the church building and enable new initiatives to be developed which will benefit the local community especially younger people.
