Previous visits have highlighted the need for just basic resources in these villages close to Mbale, Eastern Uganda, where poverty is rife. Our mission’s team supports the region where over 50 small churches work together to help their communities. In this deprived region, churches are the facilitators; they help mobilise the health, education and community resources.  Almost half of Uganda’s population is under 15 years of age and, due to AIDS, many live with extended family members who do not have the resources to support them.

YTD Raised: £0.00

From generation to generation....The Open Door Appeal is a registered Charity supported by Christ Church, Barnet. Thanks to the generosity and hard work of so many we were able to ‘buy back’ the adjacent building that once served as the original place of worship and school for Christ Church in March 2012. Our vision is to be using the building by 2014, 170 years after it was first opened. We are committed to raising sufficient funds to restore it to provide abuilding which will offer appropriate facilities for older members of the local community in a welcoming and secure environment. The demand for these types of activities is already far greater than supply. Nearly 9% of those living in and around High Barnet are over the age of 75, and this percentage is set to increase over the next few years.Ownership of this Christian-led centre will offer practical help, companionship, fun, activities and most importantly – hope. With an Open Door to everyone.

Holy Trinity Church Cuckfield (UK, 1131432) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Our mission at Holy Trinity is clear: to make Christ known. Our Church has led its Cuckfield community in Christian worship since the year 1092. We are determined that in the 21st century we shall provide that same source of spiritual and pastoral strength in an ever-changing and more demanding world. That is why we need you please to contribute now to our Repair, Restoration & Reordering Project Appeal. Holy Trinity is a most precious and beautiful Church which we have over recent years worked hard and lovingly to restore. During 2012 and after many months of planning, we fulfilled an urgent need to replace and modify some of the basic infrastructure and facilities within the building that had remained unchanged for 150 years.  In doing so this has enabled us to serve the worship and other social needs of our growing community for perhaps the next 150 years. HOWEVER, OUR FUNDRAISING TO SUPPORT THIS WORK STILL HAS A WAY TO GO. By supporting our Appeal now we will be better placed to re-focus our efforts on our own core mission and charitable work locally and across the world. We have raised over £300,000 - more than half of the funds necessary - through the kindnesses of many.  However, we need the further £250,000 to fulfil our Appeal goal.  The project was completed on time  in time for Trinity Sunday and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on 3 June 2012. WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP TO REACH OUR APPEAL TARGET. Wherever you are in the world we thank you so very much for any contribution you are able to make.  If you are not one of our regular worshippers we hope that you will be able to visit us at Holy Trinity Cuckfield to see our refreshed and revitalised Church very soon.  A warm welcome awaits you.

YTD Raised: £0.00

The Unification Movement is a worldwide community of faith founded by Reverend Sun Myung Moon.  It empowers spiritual maturity in the individual and supports families that strive to embody relationships of true love. It is also an alliance of people who share a common vision of how God wants to bless families as the basis for healthy communities, stable societies and a peaceful world. The Unification Movement seeks to create a "culture of heart" by supporting interreligious and international cooperation around the universal themes of family, and living for the sake of others, thus consigning the barriers of race, religion, culture and nationality to the history books. The word Unification in the title refers to the ideal of unity between mind and body, between husband and wife, and between heaven and earth. It is registered as a charity in the UK (No.267917) under the name FFWPU (Family Federation for World Peace & Unification).
