In2scienceUK does this by leveraging the commitment and expertise of research scientists who offer a programme of inspirational work placements and skills days which give these young people the skills, information and confidence to fulfill their potential. We currently support 200 young people but have over 1000 applications. Your donation will support more of these deserving young people access the support they need for success.

Today, the ORNC relies on philanthropic support to achieve its goals of conserving the buildings to the highest possible standard and making the site accessible to the widest possible audience. The conservation of the Painted Hall is one of the most important conservation projects in the UK. Over 3,700 square metres (40,000 square feet) of Sir James Thornhill’s wall paintings remain to be conserved – a colossal task.The conservation project will focus on the Lower Hall, whose magnificent ceiling depicts the founders of the Royal Hospital for Seamen – King William III and Queen Mary II – and the Vestibule, with its soaring cupola, which lists the donors who contributed to the establishment of the Royal Hospital. YTD Raised: £700.00Help people who have disabilities enjoy the opportunity and pleasure of going out to sea on trips on Southampton Water and tributaries on the M/V ALISON MacGREGOR, at no cost to themselves. These trips last for 2 hours and are run 3 times a day 7 days a week during May till September. Solent Dolphin is run entirely by (80+)volunteers, but to professioanl marine standards, with 18 qualified skippers.
