St Anthonys Home Trust supports the amazing work of St Anthonys, a Childrens and Family Care Centre in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. South Africa is still suffering the ravaging after effects of the Apartheid Era including chronic poverty and the current HIV/AIDS pandemic - an estimated 3 million AIDS orphans are currently living in South Africa. St. Anthonys cares for children from 0-18 years from a variety of different backgrounds including abuse victims, abandoned and orphaned children. St. Anthonys make these children SAFE and they work to reunite them into a FAMILY. Our philosophy is KEEPING CHILDREN SAFE WITHIN FAMILIES and the Trust aims to support St Anthonys in working to END THE POVERTY CYCLE through supporting young people in achieving Higher Education and other initiatives which aim to PRESERVE families and prevent children being removed to a residential care centre. We believe that the best place for a child is within a safe, loving family which means we aim to help families in crisis to stay together, reunite families which have broken apart, and create a loving family atmosphere within the Centre.
We support families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions with support, advice and activities all chosen by the families.
