Since we started in the early 90s, ALLFIE has played a unique role in changing people’s assumptions about what is possible for disabled children and young people in education. We also take a lead role in lobbying for a change in the education system to make it more welcoming of diversity and difference. The Alliance for Inclusive Education is the only organisation, led by disabled people, developing resources and expertise on how inclusion works and the benefits to ALL of effective inclusion of disabled young people in mainstream school and communities. We do this by bringing together disabled children and young people, parents, teachers and education professionals to challenge, inform, and campaign for ‘justice’ for ALL disabled children and young people to enable them to have the right to be educated with their non disabled peers. Please support this exciting work and help us to make inclusion a reality for everyone.
