NHfA(UK) seeks to provide an education for orphaned children and young people in a caring environment. Many of these individuals have witnessed the brutal atrocities of civil war and conflict and some have been orphaned as a result of parents falling victim to HIV/AIDS. Annet Kayongo established the New Hope Foundation school and orphanage in 2001 and Jean Swain met Annet on a visit to Uganda in 2004. Jean returned to the UK and set up NHfA(UK) to raise financial support to help fund the education programme.NHfA(UK) became a registered charity in 2008 and uses your donations to provide an education for over 500 pupils who attend the school. The monies raised are used to pay the salaries of 32 teachers who teach a variety of subjects from primary education up to university entrance standard.All donations go directly to support the work in Uganda with the running costs and expenses associated with the charity being paid by the trustees and do not come out of your donations. Since 1959 the Drum Riding Centre for the Disabled has been giving over 250 Disabled Riders a week the opportunity to enjoy the pleasure and therapeutic benefits of Riding a Horse. Improvements in movement, co-ordination, confidence and communication skills are also transferred into daily life. The charity has to raise all of its own funds.

HONOUR VILLAGE CAMBODIA provides a safe and secure home, education and loving care to 50 children and young adults, together with children whose parents are too poor to provide for their basic needs. We now provide employment for over 20 locals in new roles supporting the surrounding community. These employees are both able-bodied and disabled spreading the work as far as we can around the area. Every member of staff utilises his/her gifts and strengths and is committed to care for the children and team members who have been in need. Our staff are all part of our ongoing development programme to provide further training and education to all. We also provide education via a supporting curriculum to over 400 children from the local area. Each child benefits from both government schooling, supported by HVC's additional education and training. 2012/3 saw the introduction of further teachers, new classrooms, an enhanced library, boys & girls football coaching and a daily IT class. The community village is based close to Siem Reap, Cambodia, having been gifted a prime piece of land in the beautiful countryside by our Patron, His Excellency Seang Nam. Honour Village Cambodia is also registered in England and Wales, providing fundraising support and expertise from the UK and around the world.
