Befriend a Child provide 1:1 befriending for disadvantaged young people in Aberdeen City and 'Shire. Our adult volunteers spend 2 or 3 hours per fortnight with their 'befriendee' taking part in fun, educational and physical activity to increase confidence, self esteem and Turn a Frown Upside Down!

The aims of the Team Jak Charity being set up is to achieve Jak’s wishes by creating new build premises to be used for various purposes which will benefit the community, mainly children into teens, of West Lothian. To assist cancer patients and their families and others affected by cancer or debilitating illnesses Jak wanted to create a cafe for neutropenic patients where they can eat in a sterile environment. Jak recognised the need for Family time in a specially adapted area for counselling, play or chilling out. To assist in the appreciation of music and drama and the development of children by this means. Bury Hospice delivers medical care to local people living with a life-threatening or terminal illness whilst supporting their families and carers. It costs £333.00 an hour or £8,000.00 a day so every donation is greatly received. This year we have to raise nearly £3 million.
