(UK, 1021931) Browse eventsWhimple is a small village in East Devon with a Scouting history that goes back almost to the beginnings of the movement. Our Scout group caters for young people from the ages of 6 through to 18 across all the sections of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. Run by enthusiastic local volunteers we give young people opportunities to develop themselves through a range of exciting and interesting activities. The purpose of scouting is to help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international community. Scouting achieves its purpose by encouraging young people to enjoy Learning by Doing in partnership with adults. They do this by: taking part in a variety of activities, exploring the outdoors, participating in teams, and taking responsibility.
