Jake's greatest passion was climbing and mountaineering, and in 2014 he commenced a gap year at the Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland, spending the summer as a volunteer climbing instructor, and intending to spend the winter season in the French Alps. Tragically he was fatally injured in an accident on 2nd August 2014. Jake’s wall will be a fine tribute to an exceptionally gifted and popular young man, who loved life and lived it to the full.
