The Southgate Sports and Leisure Trust (SSLT) was formed in 1996 as a registered charity to acquire and develop a 6 acre site to provide a community sports centre in partnership with Middlesex University on their campus at Trent Park in North London. Today the facilities at Trent Park are home to hockey, running, football and fitness clubs and offer a wide range of coaching and training facilities to introduce and encourage young people to learn about and enjoy sport.

Maidstone Mencap is a small local charity that supports children and adults living in the Maidstone area who have severe learning difficulties and disabilities such as Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism. We run various clubs and facilities for all age groups at our premises in Mote Park. They include a Playschool for children aged from 1 to 5 years, out of school clubs that provide a range of fun activities on Saturday mornings and during school holidays and a Senior Gateway Club that offers social facilities, outings and entertainment for adults.

The Old Northamptonians RFC Benevolent Fund was set up to help those that require financial assistance to partake in rugby, whether it is to assist with playing or membership fees, playing or coaching kit and equipment, or maybe even help with rehabilitation from injury regardless of gender, age or ability and so the ONRFC Benevolent Fund was set up in 2010 and received registered charity status in 2011. As part of our fund raising initiatives, we have a sponsored event called the Chairmans Challenge each year. This is an endurance based event and for 2012 (5th May 2012) we are undertaking the ONs 4 Nations Challenge which is to play 4 games of rugby in the 4 Home Nations (Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales) within 24 hours - gruelling to say the least!! Recently we have provided rugby equipment to Hopping Hill Primary School, provided rugby equipment and tailored coaching sessions to Fairfields School (a special needs school) and funds for specialist equipment for sports/rugby rehabilitation. Since our formation in 1978 as part of the global Special Olympics Movement. Special Olympics Great Britain has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of people through sport. There are currently 150 Special Olympics clubs in Great Britain, run by over 3,000 volunteers, and involving 8,000 athletes who benefit from our sports programme. We are a recognised member of the Olympic family with a unique role to play. The Paralympics provides sports competitions for elite level disabled athletes with physical and sensory disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, while Special Olympics fosters community sport year-round at all levels for those with intellectual disabilities.
