(UK, 271098) The Penrose Club is a social club for adults with special needs who are resident in the boroughs of Spelthorne and Runnymede (in the South-East). The club meets every Tuesday throughout the year and we also arrange two holidays each year in the UK for our members. The charity relies on the generosity of donors for funding and is supported by volunteers who give their time freely. Latest News: Our friend Jon Brand (of BrandHomes) will be running the Paris and London Marathons in 2013 in aid of the Penrose Club. YTD Raised: £0.00UPKEEP OF NEW CRICKET NETS Now that we have completed construction of the new nets facility, we have to turn our minds to the eventual upkeep. Repair/replacement of the carpets and nets and re-levelling of the sub-surface is going to be very expensive over time, and no-one gives grants for maintenance! We have to find this money within the Club. Rather than wait till the need arises, we intend to gradually build up a fund to finance maintenance. We will try not to have to increase Membership fees to do this. So we will be extremely grateful for donations, either one-off or on a regular (direct debit ) basis.
