Giffnock Soccer Centre (GSC) was founded in 1995 by a group of Dads keen to teach their children the rudiments of football in a safe and fun environment. Since then the Soccer Centre has continued to flourish and is now the biggest youth football organisation in Scotland, with over 850 boys and girls currently at the club. At primary age level we have around 500 kids, many of who play in one of our 4 and 7-a-side teams participating in the East Renfrewshire Soccer Development Association (ERSDA) set up. GSC continues through amateur level with our teams competing in various leagues including Glasgow and District (formerly the Scottish Amateur), Paisley and District and East Kilbride Youth league. In recent years, we have provided a number of players to professional clubs including Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Partick Thistle. We also have our own girls and ladies section and have recently started our disability section. We currently have over 160 volunteer coaches, all of whom hold, or are working towards SFA Certificates and qualifications. We are fund raising to build our own 3G pitch as we have outgrown the facilities we require from the local authority. While we have secured our funding for the pitch which will hopefully start being built in August 2013 we are now fund raising to build a club house on the site and also for further pitch facilities that we hope to secure. For more information on GSC please visit us at giffnocksoccercentre.com or gscfootballfestival.com. You can also find us on facebook and twitter.

The Sporting Chance Initiative is a Manchester based Charity set up in 2012 with full charity registration received in September 2013. The vision of the Trustees was to focus previous fundraising efforts formally and be able to direct funds to help those most in need. Our Charity helps underprivileged children and young adults locally and internationally in any way we can. We strive to help them achieve their potential by giving them their 'Sporting Chance' in life. The money we raise currently goes towards any scheme or initiative that fits our criteria including help with healthcare, academics and sport. Our medium and longer term goals are to be able to carry out the work ourselves! Until then we will keep working hard to help those less fortunate than ourselves. All your help and support is greatly appreciated. If you want to get involved or know of any schemes which fit our ethos then please get in touch. Together we can achieve something great and give our future a sporting chance!
Bristol Rugby Community Foundation (BRCF) work with some of the most disaffected and at risk young people in our Community today. BRCF use the engagement power of sport, and the unique qualities of rugby union in particular, to build rapport with nominated young people from designated schools in order to effectively deliver vocational and educational rugby courses. We achieve this engagement by combining the values and ethics that rugby union hold dear such as honesty and integrity, with a requirement for positive and co-operative teamwork to achieve successful outcomes, with the inclusive requirement for all body shapes and sizes for each position and a the use of aggression and aggressive behaviour, but in a controlled environment. Our programmes provide real and tangible examples of how poor life choices can, and will affect the short, middle and long term futures of the young people we work with. To this end, BRCF are proud to have won 5 national and regional awards for Innovation, Social Inclusion, Best Practice and Partnership working in the past 3 years.
