Longtown MRT provides an emergency rescue service for anyone who is lost or injured in the mountains, rural or urban environment for whatever reason. We are self funding and operate 24/7 in all weather conditions, staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.

The people of Nepal are still suffering the effects of a severe humanitarian crisis following the earthquake of 25 April 2015 and its after effects. They need permanent shelters, supplies, and a path to restoring their lives. The ongoing political issues only exacerbate the nascent threats to the most vulnerable. Derby Mountain Rescue Team is a voluntary emergency service operating across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Nottinghamshire. We rescue injured people and search for missing persons on behalf of the police in mainly upland or rural loctions.
