The RAJT Trust is focused on creating employment and educational opportunity in low income countries. It is virtually impossible for an individual to know how to make an impact and how to target and manage their intervention yet alone assess how successful their support has been. For this reason the RAJT Trust focuses on two specific areas, the creation of employment opportunity and the advancement of an individual’s education in their country of birth, both of which allow a defined benefit to be achieved for a given level of funding support. Achieving an education, to the maximum level an individual is capable of, is the best way for them to secure employment and to break out from the cycle of poverty they have been born into. The creation of employment opportunity is the best way of helping an individual and their family to break free from poverty and will have significant multiplier benefits for the very local economy. Most of the funding of the Trust will be used to support projects that the Trustees are closely involved with. However, the RAJT Trust will provide modest support to other small charities with a similar ethos and a dedicated team of volunteers and trustees.
