(UK, 1115913) Browse eventsThe JAM Fund is a registered charity, established in memory of my son who passed away aged five years after a courageous battle with cancer. Jamie was born on Christmas Day but sadly spent his last birthday being taken into intensive care. Established in March 2005, the Jamie Adamson Memorial Fund, (JAM Fund) tries to help children throughout the UK who are suffering from ANY serious illness. Although a very small charity, we do our best to also aid the families of children who like Jamie, have sadly passed away. Jamie's legacy has been to offer help to others like him and I am very proud to be his Dad. The charity has no paid workers and no offices and in this way it can ensure that the maximum amount donated goes directly where it should- to the children and families the charity tries to help. Please view the charity website at WWW.JAMFUND.CO.UK. As a charity, we believe that YOU should be able to SEE EXACTLY where YOUR money has been used. There are pictures and examples on the website to support this so please come and take a look. Thank you for your time and help, Having a child ill with cancer or any life threatening illness can take its toll on relationships and this has been the case with my own, hence I now run the charity with friends as my wife and I parted company. To this end, we also try to help families as a whole by offering holidays. Thanks for reading, Paul, (Jamie's Dad) and Chairman of the JAM Fund.

We offer a variety of treatments and exercise classes to help with symptom management and slow the progression and social events in a fully accessible and safe environment. We strive to keep it all affordable for all our members, and never refuse treatment on the grounds of ability to pay. It costs just over £120,000 a year to open our doors every week day, and around 220 members and carers visit us every week. We couldn't do this without our wonderful team of volunteers (we are proud to have received the Queens Award for Voluntary Service this year), and two dedicated members of staff. Our members give what they can, and the rest we raise with support from people like you and community groups, donations from charitable trusts, and organising sponsored events. We get NO funding from statutory bodies. Thank you, from all of us, for your support.
