This is a mostly rural area heavily affected by AIDS where children typically belong to one-parent only families, have HIV-infected relatives or are already orphans.

The charity was started over 25y years ago by MS sufferers , their famillies and friends as a self help group to provide oxygen therapy via a Hyperbaric chamber. The chamber is not only used by MS sufferers but for conditions such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, leg ulcers,ME, brain injuries, sports injuries, in fact any condition that can be helped through breathing in oxygen under pressure. We run on voluntary help and are solely self funded relying on own fundraising activities, as well as donations from rotary clubs, local businesses,and individuals. We do not receive any support nationally or from the NHS ,despite the obvious benefit the chamber offers to all users. The annual cost of keeping the chamber open is in the region of £9000.
