Here we provide three days of day care, one of which is for the elderly mentally infirm. We also have a specialist bathing unit. A Memory Cafe also meets at the centre and its staff and volunteers are trained in dementia awareness. There is a monthly lunch club for those who are housebound and all our services are supported by a volunteer car service. We are continually fund raising to support all of our services and we are looking to run a charity shop to boost the fund raising. Charity No: 1050675

YTD Raised: £0.00

Virgin Money has chosen AgeUK and YouthNet as its Charities of the Year and is proud to support them as they work to improve lives for older and younger people - reducing isolation and loneliness across the generations. Imagine feeling cut off, that you simply don’t count and that no one cares about you. This is the reality for millions of older and younger people in our society today. 1 million older people in the UK go for over a month without speaking to a friend, relative or neighbour. 5 million older people consider television as their main source of company. Around one million young people are currently not in education, employment and training. With growing levels of youth homelessness and mental health issues, young people are at risk of becoming a lost generation. Money raised through this exciting new partnership with Virgin Money will support Age UK and YouthNet to reduce loneliness and isolation by providing life changing support to older and young people in Virgin Money’s local communities and across the UK. Thank you for supporting this partnership. With your help we can really make a difference.  For more information about the charities, please visit our websites; www.ageuk.org.uk and www.youthnet.org.
