Open Door offers free confidential counselling and psychotherapy to young people aged 12-24 living in Haringey. Our services are offered in welcoming, accessible, non-stigmatising premises in Crouch End and Tottenham. We aim to: Open Door works with young people experiencing difficulties including depression, self-harm, eating disorders, drug and alcohol misuse. Many have endured abuse, trauma, violence and family breakdown.  Some are facing early pregnancy and parenthood whilst others are striving to manage their adolescent development with the additional challenges of disability. They are often marginalised and reluctant to access statutory services. Last year we worked with 220 young people , offering over 3,000 appointments. Open Door also delivers services to parents and carers of your people aged 12-21 across London.

About Pace Parents Against Child Sexual Exploitation (Pace) is a national charity, based in Leeds, that works alongside parents and carers of children who are – or are at risk of being – sexually exploited by perpetrators external to the family. We offer guidance and training to professionals on how child sexual exploitation affects the whole family.  Our Work When a young person is groomed for sexual exploitation, the whole family unknowingly become victims of this devastating and vicious form of child sexual abuse.  Parents need relevant and timely advice, information and support in order to respond to the effects of child sexual exploitation on their family and in order to get their child free of their abusers.  For over 15 years, Pace has set out to: Your Impact Your support to Pace goes towards parents and carers like those in the video below who have a child affected by this abuse. "I rang up Pace and spoke to a lovely lady called Sarah who became a rock all the way through it." - Parent Your Donation Your donation supports our services for parents affected by this terrible abuse.  £5 pays the expenses for a volunteer to visit a distressed parent. £30 enables a parent to attend a network day and meet other affected parents. £100 pays for a month’s specialist support to parents. £400 allows us to provide expert training for up to twenty professionals on best practices for supporting affected parents. Shropshire Mind was established almost 40 years ago and provides a diverse range of quality services, across the County for the one in four people and their families acknowledged to be affected by mental or emotional distress.We help to bridge the gap between illness and full independence for service users. Some people need support in many areas of their lives, others in just a few, some for long periods of time, others for only a short while.Respect for users, with justice and equality of access to services are part of our vision that everyone has the right to live equally with others and to enjoy a good quality of life. We try to enable service users to play the fullest possible part in the communities in which they live. We work in partnership with clients to ensure their right to make choices is preserved. We are also striving to reduce the debilitation, alienation, stigma and social isolation experienced by vulnerable people living in rural areas. Our work includes group work based at our Shrewsbury premises and also at venues in Ludlow, Whitchurch, Bridgnorth and Market Drayton, with the aim of establishing additional groups across the county. Shropshire Mind has an established and trained volunteer base and a small number of paid staff who run specific projects. The charity has a board of trustees who meet as the Executive Committee and of those trustees there are elected officers – Chair, Treasurer and Secretary.

Somerset Counselling centre (SCC) was founded in 1990 to provide an affordable psychodynamic counselling service for all members of the community. The centre offers both long-term/ongoing work and brief/time-limited work. Counsellors work to very high standards of professionalism and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice. SCC is accredited by BACP and is an affiliate of the Westminister Pastoral Foundations (wpf) national network of counselling centres. The centre works with a diverse range of needs ranging from depression, relationship issues, addiction, anxiety, panic attacks, work related problems, bereavement, trauma, compulsive disorders, cultural and sexual difference. To enable the centre to continue to offer subsidised counselling sessions to people who would otherwise not be able to afford it we need to look for ways to raise funds. Your support will enable us to continue to provide an affordable counselling service to those people who would otherwise not be able to afford one.

Through gardening, blacksmithing, woodwork, cooking and craft activities people learn new skills, regain health and well being, regain confidence and self-esteem, and begin to realise their potential.It costs around £60,000 a year to run our service.
