Conservation grazing helps to control more aggressive, dominant species of vegetation on chalk grassland and heathland thus encouraging bio-diversity and the restoration of sward structure. The Trust is custodian of around 80 'wild' Exmoor ponies whose unique characteristics make them ideal for this work.
