(UK, 1152780) Evesham's beautiful and iconic Bell Tower is in need of urgent and extensive conservation.The last major conservation project was in 1951; since then weathering has taken its toll (particularly at the higher levels).While at a distance the Bell Tower remains beautiful and remarkable; when you look close you will see damaged stonework, cracked and eroded dripstones, missing pointing, sulphate skins.... plus chicken wire holding some stones in place.
