(UK, XN47412) Scripture Union Northern Ireland is an organisation aimed to help children and young people find out more about Jesus. We work with Schools, Churches and local communities providing resources, leading activities and running both residential and non-residential Christian based activity, all focused around the Bible and helping children and young people discover more about God. A major aspect of our work is our summer based activities. Summer 2015 was an incredible time of special events and activities all across the country and this year we had 41 teams with over 1300 volunteers involved. And throughout the year we count it a privilege to be part of the local school community, with SU groups, school based groups lead by pupils and teachers exploring the Christian faith. At present we have 156 Primary SU groups and 98 Post primary and 2 Special schools SU groups. It is schools like these that need the most help to engage enthuse and inspire their pupils to learn. The Floating Classroom helps to make learning fun exciting and adventurous and helps to raise children's attainment and help them achieve their full potential in life.
