The school yard is increasingly crowded and the field is waterlogged for a large part of the year restricting outdoor play and learning opportunities. The Neville's Cross Battlers was set up in 2015 by four parents who successfully swam the English Channel on 31st July 2016. Framlingham College 150th Appeal (UK, 1114383) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Framlingham College is a charity we exist to provide pupils of the College and the local Community the opportunity to benefit from the facilities within the grounds of Brandeston Hall Preparatory School and Framlingham College. Reinvigoration of the heart of the College There is a clear and compelling need to develop our educational facilities at the heart of the College.  We have exciting plans to re-vitalise the centre of the College as well as build a  greatly needed sixth form and careers centre at the College. Sixth Form education is an increasingly competitive area and we must ensure that our students receive the very best opportunities and facilities. We intend to improve facilities for teaching especially in the areas of Business, Economics and Psychology, to enhance the resources for Universities and Careers advice. This is an increasingly complex area where parents look to schools for expert guidance. To complete this plan  a modern sixth form resource centre, library and social centre will  ensure we remain dynamic and forward thinking. Whilst Framlingham is not a specialist Learning Support school, we have a fine reputation in this area and it is important to provide proper facilities in the right place. Our current resources are limited, and are on the top floor of the main building. This department needs dedicated and easily accessible space, and we intend to bring it into the heart of the school. Demonstrating our commitment to this development programme, work has already been completed on the building of a second astroturf, therefore all College hockey will be able to be played on Astroturf. Brandeston Hall will have far greater access to our facilities. This will enhance our profile and reputation amongst other prep schools and elsewhere. The College will be able to host national and regional competitions at all age groups. In addition to the astroturf, we are building and redeveloping the current cricket pavilion which will incorporate further changing areas and facilities for the leisure centre within the grounds to give benefit not only to the school but to the local community. We wish to ensure excellence in the 21st Century by developing our facilities to ensure all our pupils have the best start in life possible.
