Hampden Gurney Primary School is facing unprecedented government funding cuts and many non-core activities cannot be funded within their budget. Music and art lessons; the library, both its books and its staffing; student bursaries for clubs and trips; swimming lessons; trips; workshops; sports equipment and up to date IT equipment are not covered by the School's budget and are often paid for either partially or in full by the PTA … without the PTA, there would be no extras….the school would only be able to afford the basics, and good as they are, this would leave a dull and one dimensional education. We raise money so that the 620 children who attend Salusbury Primary School can have a really great start in life. These children come from many cultures and backgrounds. We need to raise money to give them the things that they don't get enough of. Currently, this means giving them a lot more access to sport, outdoor activities and music. We work closely with the teachers and children to find out what would make the biggest difference to children's learning environment. They told us they needed a library, and we built one from scratch. Now, you can help us do far more!

No one knows what causes it and there is no cure. At BeyondAutism we strive to enrich the lives of children with autism and those of their families using positive educational experiences to provide them with a brighter future. We run an independent special needs school for children of primary and secondary school age (4-17) with autism spectrum disorders. The school offers a structured programme of intensive intervention based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behaviour (VB). Our greatest efforts are devoted to understanding the very individual needs of each child who attends Rainbow School. Through the development of a happy, caring environment the children and staff gain respect for each other, and nurture confidence, independence and self-belief. Fundraising is integral to the development of Rainbow School and BeyondAutism. All pupils placed at Rainbow School are fully funded by their Local Authority. However, LA funding does not cover the capital costs of school buildings or the expansion expenses of training and materials. As a result the charity relies on the generosity of its supporters to allow us to continue to expand and to continue our work with children with autism. We would like to further develop Rainbow School's role as a centre of excellence by increasing the range of our services to providing more training, early intervention and outreach programmes. Please support the valuable work we do to allow us to continue making a difference to the children who need our help. All administration costs are covered by Guludo and JoJo Maman Bebe, therefore 100% of ALL donations go straight to our grass root projects.
