We provide education, health care, orphan care and hope to children who would otherwise have none. Many of our children have suffered physical and sexual abuse in the past and we provide them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. Once our children graduate from primary school, we link them to sponsors who fund them through high school or a vocational course, in order to give them the best possible chance in life. At Kookaburra, we believe that sustainable education is the key to improving a child's future and that of their community. When we ask our children what they want to do when they grow up, almost all of them say that they want to earn money so they can send it back to support children like them who need help too. This truly sums up the ethos of Kookaburra COMMUNITY School.
