Exceed Trust (UK, SC039796) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

The Exceed Trust was set up in 2008 with the goal of making a meaningful and lasting difference to the lives of children who have been marginalised by socio-economic circumstances. Our vision is to provide opportunities through education and self-development, with a view to enabling sustainable change for the future. Projects are funded by a combination of contributions from the Exceed group of companies and staff fundraising activities. More than £150,000 has been donated since the Trust was established. Since 2008 we have supported several projects, including: Canyon Acres, Reaching Youth Through Music, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Touching Lives. Our current project, is supporting local Ghanaian organisation, Becky’s Foundation, where we have funded the build of an orphanage for 45 children in the village of Senya. Over £75,000 has been pledged towards the build so far, after the children were left homeless towards the end of 2014. Having worked in Ghana for over six years, this is a project close to our hearts, with fundraising activity continuing on into 2015. Neither is this a remote project, as members of staff from the Exceed group of companies who are deployed in the region have made several trips to deliver supplies and gifts, whilst also checking on the progress of the build. We want to change the circumstances of the children of Becky’s Foundation, to enable them to fulfil their potential. It is our privilege to be able to support Becky’s in achieving its aim of providing a safe and nurturing home for these children.

Norwich And Norfolk Community Arts Limited (UK, 1089916) Browse events

YTD Raised: £0.00

Norwich & Norfolk Community Arts transforms lives by creating opportunities for active participation in the arts. Our focus on community development has given us a unique perspective in the field of community arts. NORCA has developed innovative projects and initiatives, which often have objectives above and beyond their artistic focus. Although we profoundly believe in involvement in the arts for its own sake, we also recognise and support the indirect value of artistic activity - for inclusion, hard and soft-skills development, community building, confidence and aspiration. Where possible we also try to leave something behind to take the work forward - active groups, long-term engagement, new networks, practitioners able to develop their own practice. The organisations remit covers the whole of Norfolk but our work tends to be focused on the City of Norwich. This is where we have established our track record, with our experience developing around Norwichs deprived communities. You can donate both to NORCA generally and to specific projects, such as Sistema in Norwich.  Donations to projects are restricted to the delivery of that project alone and restricted project funds are shown separately in our accounts.
