The Museum is now home to a growing collection of hockey archives, artefacts and memorabilia. A key part of the work of the Museum’s team of volunteers is to register, collate and store these fascinating records and items and over time, to make them accessible to the hockey family and the wider public through the website, newsletters, displays, exhibitions and an education programme.

The Neuadd Dyfi is Aberdyfi’s community hall run by a volunteer management committee who are the Charity Trustees. It is situated in the picturesque village of Aberdyfi on the west coast of Wales. The hall is available as a venue for a wide variety of functions from, Youth Club, Women’s I Institute and community lunches to conferences, theatre, training events, dance and wedding receptions. The primary objective of the development is to improve the Neuadd Dyfi’s facilities in ways that will enrich the lives of the broadest range of the local population and lead to a thriving and vibrant community. Secondly, in improving the heating and ventilating system Neuadd Dyfi will respond to the world wide climate change challenge and reduce the carbon footprint of Aberdyfi’s community hall’s operation as well as saving money. This system will also serve as an example from which local people and local organisations can draw ideas on environmentally friendly systems for use in their own homes and buildings. We have had some substantial success being offered grants from the Welsh Assembly and Snowdonia National Park but cannot access these unless substantial matched funding can be obtained by late summer 2010.
