(UK, 1141216) The Mayor's Music Fund is a charity supporting aspiring young musicians across the whole of London. We award four-year scholarships to primary school children with lots of musical potential and a real enthusiasm to learn an instrument whose families simply can't afford to pay for lessons. In addition we fund collaborations between London boroughs and professional arts organisations, giving thousands of young people the opportunity to learn from and perform alongside some of the worlds top musicians. Brooklands was the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, home of Concorde and the site of many engineering and technological achievements throughout eight decades of the 20th century. Visitors to the museum drink in the atmosphere that reveals the secrets of Brooklands - the place where the great British adventure in speed and altitude all began. The Museum displays a wide range of Brooklands-related motoring and aviation exhibits ranging from giant racing cars, motorcycles and bicycles to an unparalleled collection of Hawker and Vickers/ BAC-built aircraft, including the only Concorde with public access in South East England. The Brooklands Museum Trust is an independent charitable trust whose aims are to preserve and interpret the heritage of Brooklands and to use that heritage to inspire and educate future generations.

Alongside this they manage funding to allow children with special educational needs access high quality performing arts workshops and activities, as well as developing interest and love of musical theatre in mainstream schools. Over the coming months the charity will be offering workshops to local primary and secondary schools that introduce students to musical theatre and bring the 'West End' to Stamford.

There are 3 routes to choose from; the main 30 mile route, a shorter 20 mile circuit or a family friendly 5 mile route. Last year well over 600 riders took part in 7th year of the Ups and Downs, with the event raising in the region of £10,000 for local charities, organisations and good causes - so a big thank you to everyone who has took part! You can ride just for fun, help raise sponsorship for our partner charities or raise money for your own charity or club - the choice is yours!
