Zellweger UK (UK, 1166389) Browse events

YTD Raised: £780.00

Supporting families impacted by Zellweger Spectrum Disorder, and helping to fund much needed medical research for this rare and devastating condition. Zellweger Spectrum Disorder affects approximately 1 in 50,000 children worldwide. As it's so rare specialists in the condition are few and far between, and families can feel cut off. As parents ourselves, some who have sadly already lost their children to ZSD, we know how scared and cut off families can feel. Our aim is to be a source of support both financially by way of small grants, and emotionally. Nobody understand ZSD better than other families on the spectrum. There is currently no affective treatments for ZSD; only management of some of the symptoms. We aim to help towards funding desperately needed medical research in the hope of better diagnostics, effective treatments, and one day, even a cure.
