(UK, 1098285) Proactive Community Endeavour (PACE) is a community-focused charity based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, England. Proactive Community Endeavour (PACE) is a charity limited by guarantee. It is a developing community venture that offers its services to the population of Loughborough and surrounding areas, and consultation further a-field. To relieve people who are vulnerable and excluded, by working together to assess the need, identify the issues that need, identify the issues that need to be addressed and devise a way forward to change their lives for the better, in particular, but not excluively by the provision of various services; PACE is made up of various projects aimed at divergent groups in society. These include an Ofsted registered out of school childcare provision for after school and school holidays, a vibrant youth work, a popular arts, sport and music programme, a variety of seminars and workshops with a broad spectrum of topics and our advice centre enQuire? which offers general advice and signposting and specialises in debt and benefit advice.

YTD Raised: £1,091.00Ebor Vale Riding For the Disabled Charity no. 1074239 We are a member group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, incorporating carriage driving. Established in 1981, the group provides disabled people of all ages with the opportunity to ride and/or to carraige drive to benefit their health and wellbeing. Our riding / driving occurs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday during the months of April to November. We have fifty riders / carriage drivers and over fifty helpers registered with our group. We are self funded and run by volounteers eg. committe, fundraising and day to day running. 2014 fundraising target is £19,000 This year : 21st June our group is having a "Midsummer Marathon relay" 24 hours of activities for our ponies, riders, carriage drivers and volunteers. Please support this fundraising event by donating today. To help with our fundraising, Jeff Payne, Andrew Fenna, Gaz Gibson and Shane Johnson, on the 15th July, intend to complete the "Tough Guy" Nettle Warrior asault course. We do this by working with organisations that these people have set up themselves as we do not want to impose our own priorities or solutions. YTD Raised: £1,060.00A charity breaking down barriers to music making for physically disabled people. Orchestral instruments that can be played without two fully functioning hands are extremely rare. This denies unlimited participation in musical life, at the highest level, to millions, including people with congenital disabilities and amputees as well as those who may have been injured, suffered a stroke or developed arthritis. The primary obstacle is the absence of suitable instruments. Finding instruments... The OHMI Trust was formed in 2011 and is doing ground breaking work by solving this problem through an annual competition. Through the competition we now have instruments of an exceptionally high standard that are playable without the use of one hand/arm. With these instruments, the OHMI Trust is launching a pioneering music teaching project in Birmingham, where 15 children aged between 7 and 11 years of age with an upper limb disability have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. The children will work with world class musicians from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and get the best quality teaching from specially selected teachers from Services for Education in Birmingham. This is an extroardinary opportunity for children with upper limb disabilities to learn alongside their peers, without any limitations imposed by their instrument. Teaching instruments... The OHMI Trust is currently raising funds to roll this pilot scheme out to Bristol and Surrey in the near future and aims eventually for this provision to become part of core music education, so having a disability is not a barrier to music-making at the highest level. Raising awareness of the current inequality... We also do what we can to raise awareness with governments, musical instrument makers and others so that together we can work towards practical solutions that will allow those with physical disabilities have completely equal access to musical participation at whatever level they choose. All donations will help OHMI to continue our extroardinary work in breaking down barriers to music participation for those with disabilities.
