Would you like to help us transform the Holburne Museum into Bath’s art museum – for everyone? We are asking everyone to take part in the Holburne Challenge with the aim of raising £300,000 towards the final phase of our development project. The development, which includes restoration of our Grade I listed eighteenth-century home and the construction of a spectacular modern extension, will allow us to welcome and look after all our visitors properly. Our new spaces will transform what we can do from exhibitions to teaching and allow us to reveal our collection in all its glory. A new garden café will open onto the park in which the museum sits. We will be opening our doors to the renewed museum in May 2011 when for the first time the Holburne will be free to enter and fully accessible to all. With your support we can make sure that we continue our work within the community and provide the opportunity for everyone to access our collection, fantastic art exhibitions and events well into the future. The Holburne is more than a collection of paintings and decorative art objects; it is a community of people and we’d love you to be part of it.
