Dogs in Distress (IE, CHY16481) Browse events

YTD Raised: €0.00

What we do: Dogs in Distress is a non-profit and fully volunteer based organisation that rescues abandoned or strays dogs from the pound that are at risk of being put down. Dogs rescued by DID are placed in foster homes to be cared for. Some of the dogs that we rescue have not been properly cared for and may need veterinary care. We neuter, worm, microchip and vaccinate all of our dogs during their time in foster care. Our vet bills are considerable and we rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us raise the funds that we need to cover our costs. The fosterer assists with house training, lead training and general socialization to ensure our dogs are ready for their new life. Most importantly the fosterer provides love, care and attention to their foster dog. We have a strict re-homing policy. We only home our dogs to those who have the attitude, facilities and lifestyle to take on the considerable responsibility of caring for a dog. Why donate and what exactly happens with your donation? As we are a non-profit organisation and all our members being volunteers, all donations go straight to the dogs that need it. The more donations we get, the more dogs we can save. Your donation would help us pay for: Veterinary bills Bedding Collar lead Neutering Microchip Vaccination Worming Food and treats, as well as special diets for dogs that need it Every dog deserves a chance in life! Help us give it to them!
