Between us we will cycle over 1580 miles in one day, individually riding distances up to a hilly 103 miles. As things stand in April 2018 a number of the participants don't yet own a bike! Together we are aiming to raise £10,000!We're doing this in support of the Jonathan Falconer Charitable Trust, with the money going directly to The Alder Centre, which is a unique, national centre of excellence providing ‘care and education for anyone affected by the death of a child’.The money will specifically go towards an amazing new building designed by our friends at AHMM Architects and we ask for your generosity for this brilliant project. The challenge itself is tough but will be completed with a typical air of camaraderie! We all thank you very much!! The Jonathan Falconer Charitable Trust was established in 1996 following Jonathan's sudden death at home, aged two and a half. We have raised substantial amounts for research into Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and for dissemination of information to parents. We have also funded the provision of apnoea monitors for parents with young siblings via Alder Hey Children's Hospital. We are currently fundraising to assist in the creation of The Alder Centre at Alder Hey, which will be a new unit for support of bereaved parents.
