Nomad Youth & Community Project is an active local charity based in Henley on Thames on the border with Berkshire and Buckinghamshire that supports children, young people and families at grassroots level. We provide support for those facing challenging situations in their lives and seek to work collaboratively with other organisations and agencies through delivering positive and individually tailored programmes of support. Interventions are delivered through four keys areas: *Schools Programme, *After School & Holiday Programme, *Family Support Programme and *Community Programme which includes the Food Bank Known for being a picturesque market town famous for its regatta, Henley is one of the more expensive places to live in England, so questions are often asked about the need for such a project? The wealth of the area easily masks the needs leaving many feeling isolated, lonely, and unheard. Nomad endeavours to make a difference through: Valuing people, loving, and accepting them Creating a safe nurturing environment Working together with integrity Putting others first Showing appreciation Encouraging people One young person says: “Honestly I couldn’t put into words how grateful I am to have received support from NOMAD. Such lovely, caring and considerate people”. One mother on receiving a food parcel says “Thank you. The girls get very excited when we receive your food parcel. Really appreciate it and very grateful”.
Scoliosis Campaign Fund is a joint fundraising venture between British Scoliosis Research Foundation, who fund research into the causes and treatment of scoliosis and Scoliosis Association UK, a patient support charity. The two organisations have worked closely for several years and became officially affiliated in November, 2006. All money raised from the activities is divided equally between the two charities. Every penny SCF raises goes towards helping to support people with the condition as well as funding research into the causes and treatment of scoliosis. By supporting SCF, you're helping people with scoliosis now and in the future! We have some fantastic fundraising events which can all be seen on our new, updated website. So whether it's a run, cycle ride, bake sale, or show, we hope to see you at an SCF event soon! Thank you so much for your support.

The World Heart Beat Music Academy has been built on the success of the 51st State Band and rooted in ‘expanding the art of the possible’ for young people through music. At this most exciting stage, we are inviting you to become a "Friend of the World Heart Beat Music Academy". Our vision is to create an inspiring place where children of all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds can come and play music. We aim to give children and young people, many of whom would never have access to musical education, the opportunity to learn music within a structured programme, alongside other youngsters, and under the guidance of committed and inspirational musicians. We have found that the power of music lifts children out of isolation and disadvantage. Learning and playing music enables young people to feel that they are part of something; something that nobody can take away from them. This confidence translates to other areas of their life, giving them the freedom to make choices and to be happy, successful adults and these life skills have never been more important than in the current global economic situation. “When you have a goal and then you finally get it you feel so happy, it just feels so great.
