Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Cariad Angel Gowns (for stillborn and neonatal loss) is a registered charity. We take donated wedding, bridesmaid and prom gown and transform them into outfits for stillborn and neonatal loss babies. These are then gifted to Hospitals, Funeral Directors and Private Families.Memory packs made from the same donated gowns are gifted to those who have suffered miscarriage, ectopic, stillbirth and neonatal loss, together with a certificate of life for those not eligible for a birth certificate. (under 24 weeks gestation) Our memory packs give something tangible to remember these babies by, and we do not stipulate a time limit for these. There are so many women who have been left for years with no acknowledgement that their baby existed - we hope that in some small way, our memory packs give them this acknowledgement and a little bit of comfort. We fundraise to supply and gift Cuddle Cots to Hospitals and Funeral Directors and our aim is to make sure every Hospital has one and at least one Funeral Director in each area also has one, so that all bereaved parents of these babies have the opportunity to use one where it is needed. Please donate to support our cause.Raising funds to supply and gift cuddle cots to Hospitals and Funeral Directors in Wales and England is our main priority together with bereavement outfits for stillborn and neonatal loss babies and memory packs for miscarriage, ectopic, stillbirth and neonatal loss.A cuddle cot is a refrigerated unit used along with a Moses basket to keep baby cool. Babies deteriorate quickly and the use of a cuddle cot and can give up to an extra 96 hours of time for bereaved families to come to terms with their loss, even allowing their baby to be taken home in some circumstances. Time for photographs and hand and footprint casts. Time to explain to siblings what has happened to their sister/brother. Time to make precious lasting memories before a funeral takes place. Our Angel outfits and memory packs are gifted free to hospitals, funeral directors and private families. They are hand made from donated wedding. bridesmaid and prom gowns by a small army of volunteers.Every donation we receive helps us supply another cuddle cot - and in turn help another grieving family. Each Cuddle cot unit with Moses Basket and stand costs £1700. His Church Charity provide solutions for residual stock (food, clothes and supplies) and in doing so are able to meet the needs of the underprivileged and vulnerable, not just in the UK but many countries worldwide. We partner with most major supermarkets and food manufacturers in the UK and support over 2,000 charities. We have a full fleet of vehicles, from vans to articulated lorries, enabling us to collect and distribute any size of donation. Recently we began to collect, store and re-distribute chilled and frozen food which would have otherwise gone to waste, making a huge difference to local families and individuals who would have otherwise struggled to make ends meet. One of our diverse projects, ‘Team Up to be Champions, School Breakfasts for Winners’, was delivered from Football Clubs across the Nation. Schools were invited to collect free breakfast cereal while children were encouraged to take part in sporting activities and celebrate like their heroes on top of the ‘Team Up’ bus. Our work with Football Clubs continues, from providing for community gardening and cooking projects, to refreshments for soccer schools, or even providing our buses for events such as World Refugee Day or celebrating Lincoln City FC’s promotion!Since 2006 we have been working with the Government in Liberia, West Africa to help re-build the nation following the effects of the Civil War and more recently the Ebola crisis. In line with our ‘Team up to be Champions’ project, we are supporting the Government’s efforts to encourage children to attend school and participate in sport. For more information please watch our introductory film:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/0by9vzadmn0bf9m/Short%20Film%202017_2.mp4?dl=0Thank you for supporting us!
