Alder Bridge Steiner School in Aldermaston is unique in this area of England, offering a very special form of education, in line with Steiner principles. At our school, each child is nurtured and encouraged to grow at his or her own pace, and to flourish as an individual. The carefree nature of childhood is celebrated and preserved, and creativity lies at the heart of the school’s teaching. Many children who struggle in mainstream education flourish here. Alder Bridge School is funded by our parents, so the more we are supported, the more it becomes possible to open up this wonderful education to others, and to enhance the facilities we can offer.

Following the tragic road traffic accident in July of 2017 the family of Georgie Le Prevost wanted to do something positive and decided to raise money through a sponsored, tandem parachute jump with Jersey skydive. Annie and Jenny Le Prevost were overwhelmed with the immense public support and generosity of Guernsey people who made a vast number of donations to their Just Giving page. This generosity prompted the family to consider ways in which they could make a positive contribution to the Island in memory of Georgie and this is how the concept of the “Smile For Georgie Foundation” emerged. The Foundation was officially registered on the 31st January 2018, with the purpose of making a difference and bringing smiles to the people of Guernsey through small acts of kindness. Those who knew Georgie will appreciate the positive contribution she made to life and the smile she had for everyone. The Foundation intends to reflect her personality in all that is does and looks forward to receiving ongoing public support that will ensure its success

We are a Merseyside-based registered charity, caring, educating, and protecting vulnerable children, young people, and adults through our schools, care homes, community services, social work services, and adoption agency. Our reach extends across the North West of England. We strive to generate interest, awareness, and understanding of issues around poverty and social welfare and the impact of this on our wider communities. The origins of Nugent date back to Victorian Liverpool and the pioneering work of Father James Nugent (1822-1905) in relation to child welfare, relief from poverty, and social reform. Through his ministry, Father Nugent witnessed first-hand the suffering caused by poverty and appalling conditions and took action to remedy the situation. By the time of his death, Father Nugent had given homes and valuable skills to thousands of children, and laid the foundations for the work currently undertaken by Nugent. Nugent is the Diocesan Caritas Agency for the Catholic Archdiocese of Liverpool.
