We are a hub for over 1000 players and social members of all ages (from 2 to 102) and we serve the wider Blue and Gold Community with associated clubs (Beckenham Rugby Cyclists etc) partner charities (O2e and CASPA) and events (Beckenham Half Marathon etc). We are self sustaining and strive to be the best Community Club. We have been well served in the past but we can’t ever be complacent so……..how do we make sure our club is here to serve future generations and continue to promote rugby as a sport for ALL? The 125 Build was kicked off to celebrate our 125th Anniversary (October 2019) and provide more revenue to keep the club moving forward independently. We are so lucky to own our own grounds and we should continue to take full advantage. To date, we have extended the car park, providing much needed space for our growing membership. Next we want to build a purpose built kitchen and players dining room, situated between the existing coffee lounge and the bungalow.

Our mission is to raise funds and awareness to help these individuals reclaim their quality of life and receive the necessary support and resources for rehabilitation and recovery. The Wynn Trust is named after our friend Charlie Wynn, a former boxer who tragically suffered a severe brain injury while sparring in preparation for a fight. Despite enduring numerous medical treatments and therapies over the past six years, Charlie is still unable to walk and requires extensive support for daily living activities. It is our goal to not only aid Charlie on his journey to recovery but to also extend our assistance to numerous others who are in similar situations. The funding available from the government for individuals with brain injuries is limited, and as a result, many are not receiving the comprehensive support needed to improve their quality of life. The Wynn Trust is dedicated to filling this critical gap by providing financial aid, rehabilitation services, and support programs that can significantly enhance the well-being of those affected.

(UK, 1187483) Browse eventsThere are 850,000 people in the UK who live with a form of dementia and despite the progress being made in the search for a cure, it is unlikely to come quick enough to help them. For these people, what’s essential is to find the best way of living with their dementia. ‘Our Dementia Choir’ began as part of a documentary created for BBC. The two part series saw acclaimed actress Vicky McClure take us on a deeply personal journey where she sets out to discover the true extent of music’s power in combatting dementia. Vicky knows only too well the cruelness of dementia having helped care for her grandma who died in 2015. But Vicky also saw the amazing effect the music had in calming her down as well as giving glimpses of the old Nana. Vicky formed a choir of people all living with dementia in her home town of Nottingham to see whether music can make measurable difference to their lives. The result: Our Dementia Choir. The choir has had such an immeasurably positive effect that it’s member have remained in regular contact since the show aired. Under the Choir leadership of Angela, the choir has continued to meet and sing but donations are vital to keep this amazing choir running and your generous support is much appreciated.
