The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust aims to help people living with Pulmonary Fibrosis and to raise awareness of this illness in all groups of society.   Pulmonary Fibrosis is responsible for 5,000 early deaths every year.  Sufferers are often diagnosed very late in the illness and consequently many of them have to come to terms with it very quickly.  Others have to give up work before retirement, move house because they can no longer cope with stairs, and need financial help to cope with special equipment purchase or rental.

Ronald McDonald House, Bristol is an independent charity which provides Home from Home accommodation, free of charge, to the families of critically ill children receiving care at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. When a child is very ill, they may need to travel away from home to receive the treatment that they require. Our aim is to keep families together during what is probably one of the most stressful times of their lives. We accommodate over 800 families each year, providing all the comforts that you would expect to find in your own home, with spacious en-suite bedrooms, kitchens and communal living areas. Bristol is the only dedicated children’s hospital in the whole of the South West of England and Wales which means we support families across the entire region. We are always at full capacity and have long waiting lists of families desperately needing our help.

More than 29,000 children in North West London are living in severe poverty and may go to bed hungry. Families across the borough are struggling to survive with rising prices, benefit caps and low paid jobs. Even those families who may have been comfortable can be caught off-guard when a mother or father is suddenly made redundant. Sufra – NW London provides a life-line for families who simply don’t have enough food to eat. Although we live in a welfare state, there are so many things that can go wrong leaving no money for food. In those moments of crisis we are here to help.
