AVSF supports orphans/ vulnerable children inSwaziland We've built a primary school, pre-school , Home of Hope, commenced 2 feeding & sustainable agricultural/livestock programs &clean water supplies. We have 250 children in school & 17 in pre-school. 100 children are fed daily. We're now using sport as part of an holistic, integrated approach to HIV awareness/ behaviour change. We need funds to build football changing facilities - we have land donated, &, football boots / kit from UK clubs. This grass roots project directly touches & changes the lives of our children. 1:4 are HIV positive but our children have ALL tested negative. This project can ensure they remain well & enable them to identify & shun risky behaviour, gain life skills & increase future employment chances giving a new outlook, encouragement & focus on life. Training is provided at Schools, Clubs and Groups free of charge bookable by visiting the relevant Little Life Savers groups page and completing the contact form or emailing the local co-ordinator. Each session will have up to 3 instructors, with an adult CPR manikin and a child CPR manikin. Training is completely free to all schools, clubs and societies and if you would like to arrange a fundraising activity for the charity to say thank you we would be more than happy to support this.

The focus of our work is our Supported Accommodation for young people in need of support. We recognise that homelessness isnt just about not having a place to live; our clients usually have a range of other issues to contend with too. Each person is assigned to a keyworker, and that relationship enables them to explore their problems and work together on finding solutions. We also have a programme for young people moving into homes in the private rented sector, providing support to landlords and tenants throughout the tenancy.  Our Community Centre enables us to provide a range of social and learning activities for young people, particularly those aged 16-25. We have snooker, pool and darts facilities, and we organise regular and occasional activities for people to meet and learn together.

We also offer support through our experienced support workers, and help to move on to a better and happier future, with 7 residential places in the main house and 1 place in an adjacent independence bungalow, all on the same site. At The Animal Healing Trust we provide sanctuary for abused and abandoned horses and ponies and allow them a place to heal from whatever they have been through be it on any level, physical, emotional, mental or spiritual. We use natural remedies and therapies as much as possible and work with natural horsemanship techniques too. Plus we allow and encourage the horses to live as natural as possible within a mixed herd environment so they have the company of other horses to aid their recovery and build their confidence and self esteem. Kindness, respect and working together in partnership with the horses are our key ethics as well as providing a safe haven and giving a lot of love. We have been providing this sanctuary since 2008 and are delighted to have helped many horses and ponies who others had given up on. And we thank everyone who has helped us. SAFE! works with children who have been harmed by crime & bullying, and families affected by abuse. SAFE! provides individually tailored support to help young people cope without responding physically or internalising their feelings; develop strategies to report incidents; and realise it is not their fault if they have been hurt. SAFE! uses protective behaviours and restorative approaches to aid recovery. Without timely support their experience can lead to further problems including absence from school or work. SAFE! helps young people develop tools to allow them to feel safe in their key environments including their home, neighbourhood & school. Through practical and emotional support SAFE! supports children to develop coping strategies for when they feel unsafe & identify and build on their support networks.
