YTD Raised: £2,839.00The League of Friends is a much valued part of life at St Helier hospital, raising funds for the hospitals benefit and running a range of services for patients, visitors and staff. We have raised almost £200,000 through various fundraising activities last year, which has gone towards purchasing important medical equipment, as well as non-essential extras that make hospital life more comfortable. The aims of the League of Friends are quite simple: "To raise funds to help with items which would benefit the patients that the Trust simply cannot fund". The league of friends has over 130 hard working volunteers, and 1500 members who aim to raise funds and receive donations from organisations and individuals by way of subscriptions,tombolas and raffles, and our most successful shops and tea-bar. All donations are very welcome and make such a diffenence, we really could nt do it without your kind support and generosity. We welcome any donation no matter how big or small. YTD Raised: £2,838.94Stormbreak aims to improve children’s mental health through movement, equipping them with sustainable, transferable skills and coping strategies to thrive during the complex demands of growth into adult life. We develop and deliver products and services to help schools and community settings shape culture, policy and provision of movement for mental health. Our flagship Surge programme, led by mental health professionals, empowers teachers and pupils to introduce multiple 15-minute sessions of dance, parkour, yoga of free movement into the school week, focussing on specific objectives such as improving confidence or reducing anxiety. It is predicated on a growing crisis in children’s mental health. One in 10 primary school children have a diagnosable mental health condition, and professional support services are stretched and underfunded. Schools and communities are ill-equipped to provide effective help to children bombarded by overwhelming external pressures. Testimonial from Year 6 teacher: “Stormbreak is making a real difference to children's lives, teaching skills that will allow children to have a natural reaction to negative situations. In order for children to flourish, they need to love and feel comfortable in their own skin. They need to feel confident and embrace their strengths. Stormbreak supports this.”

YTD Raised: £2,833.00The people of Nepal are still suffering the effects of a severe humanitarian crisis following the earthquake of 25 April 2015 and its after effects. They need permanent shelters, supplies, and a path to restoring their lives. The ongoing political issues only exacerbate the nascent threats to the most vulnerable. We aim to help facilitate their recovery through the funding and implementation of efficient projects adhering to our values of transparency, accountability, kindness, collaboration, interaction, and grass roots engagement. NERF is now raising the funds needed to deliver recovery programs through our events, social media platforms and by approaching donors with collaborative programs designed with Nepalis, for Nepalis. You can be part of this story too...and we'll always show you how and where your donations are being put to work.
