The Old Northamptonians RFC Benevolent Fund was set up to help those that require financial assistance to partake in rugby, whether it is to assist with playing or membership fees, playing or coaching kit and equipment, or maybe even help with rehabilitation from injury regardless of gender, age or ability and so the ONRFC Benevolent Fund was set up in 2010 and received registered charity status in 2011. As part of our fund raising initiatives, we have a sponsored event called the Chairmans Challenge each year.  This is an endurance based event and for 2012 (5th May 2012) we are undertaking the ONs 4 Nations Challenge which is to play 4 games of rugby in the 4 Home Nations (Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales) within 24 hours - gruelling to say the least!! Recently we have provided rugby equipment to Hopping Hill Primary School, provided rugby equipment and tailored coaching sessions to Fairfields School (a special needs school) and funds for specialist equipment for sports/rugby rehabilitation. We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their generosity.

Since 2014, we have been sending medical supplies to Venezuela on an ad-hoc basis. But the crisis has worsen and we decided to create a more sustainable effort. We work with women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and need help to find and settle into accommodation.  Whilst our services are predominantly to support women, we also support women with children and men experiencing domestic abuse. WHAG supports women living in the boroughs of Rochdale and Bury including, Littleborough, Middleton, Heywood, Milnrow, Whitefield, Prestwich, Radcliffe, Totting ton and Ramsbottom. WHAG offer group work sessions in the community and  is  involved in awareness raising events in school s  where  resources allow (by arrangement ).  We also currently run the Recovery Toolkit and Freedom  Programme in Bury and The Recovery Toolkit in Rochdale.  For dates please see our website. www.whag.info   BURY SERVICES Domestic Abuse Floating Support Housing related support for women and men (16+) who have their own tenancies and have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse. Support can be provided for up to 9 months.   Rose Court  Supported Accommodation Supported accommodation for single women (18+) who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  Support can be provided for up to 1 year.   Rose Court  Emergency Accommodation Support for single women (18+) who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  Support to help them find suitable accommodation, provided up to 12 weeks   Resettlement Service Support for single women (18+) or women with children to obtain, move and settle into a new tenancy.
