The bursary programme offers financial assistance to talented girls from families with low incomes. In 1904, the school opened with a number of scholarships and today we remain committed to educating talented young women by offering bursaries at both at 11+ and 16+ entry. Today, 91 Paulinas receive financial assistance. This is about 12 per cent of our school population and our aim, over time, is to increase that figure to 20 per cent. The gift of a St Paul’s education is the most valuable and far-reaching that a girl with exceptional abilities could receive. In addition to a broad education and extra-curricular activities, St Paul’s provides a foundation for university and careers within a network of inspirational alumnae and peers. The ambitious students of St Paul’s come from all walks of life and any girl whose family cannot afford the fees should receive the necessary means tested help so she can take up her place. The school relies on donations to fund bursaries and we warmly welcome gifts of all sizes. Every gift brings us closer to funding a bursary for a girl and ensuring that no deserving candidate is ever turned away from St Paul’s. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to every donor and your continued generosity provides for talented Paulinas year after year.
