Recycling Items such as bikes, pallets, paint and even food on its sell-by date helps those most in need to reduce homelessness, isolation, poverty and improves both mental and physical health. Daily footfall is over 2000, and the Social Impact Calculator estimates the value of what we provide at over £2 million. Numerous groups, such as Young At Heart (lunch club for the elderly), National Autistic Society, Gamblers’ Anonymous, Men (and Women) In Sheds, Tea Dance, Aspire to Sew, Growing Great Things (gardening in grounds of our building - especially designed for those living with mental health issues), Treasure Box (Toddler Group), plus several Craft and Fitness groups meet in Aspire providing activities that enrich participants’ lives. St Mary's Church Haverfordwest (UK, 1051322) Browse events

YTD Raised: £3,440.00

For nearly 900 years the church of St Mary the Virgin has been at the centre of the community of Haverfordwest. Imposingly set overlooking the town’s High Street, it is Grade One listed. Its fine early arches, medieval carvings, Tudor panelled oak roof, historic organ and peal of eight bells, together with many other outstanding features, make it one of Wales’ finest parish churches. As the town’s Civic Church, we welcome the opportunity to work with the Town Council and many local organisations. We serve a broad mix of people from our area, as members of our congregation, visitors, those attending concerts or civic events and those who come for baptisms, weddings and funerals. In recent years we have extended our outreach to all primary schools in the town, performing annually The Easter Story and Christmas Story for them in the church. Our fundraising events include an annual Flower Festival, History Weeks and Friday Lunchtime events (talks, concerts, social gatherings). The church’s fine acoustics and large space are appreciated by choirs, soloists and other musical groups who use it for rehearsals and concerts. It costs up to £6,000 per month to keep St Mary’s Church open. We hope you will be able to support us.

Breast Friends and Family (UK, SC048332) Browse events

YTD Raised: £3,433.37

Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.Breast Friends and Family aims to support breast cancer patients, initially at St John’s Hospital in Livingston, through diagnosis, treatment and recovery; to provide the little things that will make a difference to each individual and how they feel about themselves. We also aim to help patients and their family members deal with the challenges a cancer diagnosis brings.  Breast Friends and Family has been setup by Hazel, her sister Mandy, mother Sylvia and daughter Holly. Hazel was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2015 which shocked the family but the challenges this diagnosis brought were faced with a steely determination to keep life going as normal and provide Hazel with the support she needed through treatment and recovery. The family realised that patients are supported by a number of cancer charities, each one giving additional support that patients are not even aware that they need. They began fund raising, by dancing, running, walking, knitting, sewing and organising events in support of many cancer charities.Hazel was given lots of support from a local charity based at St John’s Hospital in Livingston and as she recovered she wanted to help and support this local charity so that others like her, having a breast cancer diagnosis, were helped in the way that she was. Sadly this charity is no longer running.Hazel and her family and friends are now determined to make sure that all patients being diagnosed with cancer in St John’s are given the kind of help they don’t even realise they need.  Charity No: SC048332
