Mentor helps children and young people to achieve their true potential. We encourage children to have hope for the future, to work hard at school and to enjoy fun, social and healthy activities with their friends and family. We're helping to build a generation of confident young men and women equipped to thrive in the modern world, resilient to setbacks who are valuable members of diverse communities, geographical and virtual. For example, we believe that every child should have alcohol and drug education that's been independently evaluated by experts as effective, and we're working with schools, parents and community groups to make that happen. Support us today and we can help more children!!

HopScotch provides FREE breaks to severely disadvantaged children living in Scotland aged between 7-11 years. Our Respite Centre, Ardvullin is situated in Ardgour on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. It sits in 5 acres of its own grounds overlooking Loch Linnhe in an area of outstanding beauty. Since it’s establishment in 1998 HopScotch has enabled over 4000 different children to have a break at Ardvullin and the number has increased steadily year on year, from 100 in 1999 to over 350 in 2012. In 2013 we plan to provide 348 disadvantaged children, who have no other chance of a break away from their problems, with a week at Ardvullin. Using the HopScotch bus we collect children and user organisation staff from their home area on a Monday and return them back on a Friday. During their stay at Ardvullin children are given the chance to participate in a planned programme of educational and fun activities such as horse riding, canoeing, indoor climbing and mountain biking. They also visit local beaches, nature reserves and marine, wildlife and heritage centres. They learn about the countryside and seaside and about team work, tolerance and social and practical skills all in a supportive and caring environment. Children leave Ardvullin with an increased ability to address their own problems and overcome the hurdles they face in their everyday lives. GOOD CHILDHOOD MEMORIES LAST A LIFETIME
